Great INFO post! I used almost all those resources for my own downsizing. I got caught in an eBay trap though that I think is worth mentioning here because it postponed my downsizing BIG TIME. I decided to start buying more stuff than I was selling with the idea of adding to my bank account...talk about CLUTTER!! Holy crap! It was a nightmare...boxes, packing material, bulk quantities of purchases to sell...let me just stop there! Thankfully my next move cleared all that up in a fast hurry. Gotta LOVE that dumpster guy that I hired! He took 2 loads which I GLADLY paid him for!!

Although that was all a few years ago, I still have to keep on top of things lest they get a bit out of control in smaller ways now. Your post just inspired me to take yet another sweep at my bookcase (which OFTEN consists of much more than books!!) and my closet :)

My concern about getting rid of the hard copy cd's is that the RIAA tries to sue anyone and everyone for 'piracy' and without the cd to prove you bought it you don't have evidence to back it up.
