Small Living Journal

Small Living Journal aspires to be a repository of some of the very best writing from the Small Home Movement.  As such, we welcome the contributions of guest authors.

If you are interested in participating as a guest author, we ask that you adhere to the following submission guidelines:

1. Please consult the schedule of topics for upcoming issues and pick an issue for which you would like to write.
2. Complete an article of at least 500 words length that is appropriate for that issue.  We would prefer that you submit content that has not appeared on other sites and we ask that you not submit the content elsewhere until at least a month after your article has appeared on SLJ.
3. We encourage you to submit any pictures you would like to include in your piece.You are welcome to include an author picture and a brief bio at the end of your piece which can include links to your own writing projects and/or blog.
4. Go to the following link and set up a user account for SLJ: http://smalllivingjournal.com/wp-admin/
5. Send an email to SmallLivingJournal@gmail.com indicating that you have an article to submit.  We will upgrade your account to Author status and send you an email to confirm this.
6. Submit your article as a new Post via the WordPress interface.  (If you have trouble with this step, please email us at the email address above.)
7. As of the submission deadline for that issue, the Editor for the issue will review all guest author submission and decide what will be included.  All submissions will be notified of their status by the Editor.

Please note: Articles that are not properly submitted via the directions above by the submission deadline may be excluded from consideration at the discretion of the issue’s editor.

SLJ reserves the right to reformat articles and images to produce consistency in format across the issue.  We may also make minor changes to text to correct grammar and spelling.
